Embroidery & Branding
Embroidery which operates via a needle and thread is one of the best options we recommend for custom branding a uniform. Our embroidery machines are computerised, modern, hi speed and efficient - providing a high standard finish which lasts. Most embroidery outlasts the life of the garment.
Best Applications for Embroidery:
Clothing, Hi Vis, Jackets, Fleece. Hoodies, Jumpers, Polo’s, T-Shirts, Teamwear, Schoolwear, Corporate, Hats, Caps, Beanies, Bags, Towels, Blankets, Napkins, Applique & Badges, Handkerchiefs etc.

Firstly we require an artwork file, best files are PDF, AI, & EPS.
We will work through the best branding solutions including garment options, sizing & location of logos. We help take your ideas from concept to completion.
Once your order is placed and deposit is paid we will get your logo digitised. This involves producing an embroidery file for your logo which is suitable to run on the embroidery machine. The digitised file selects colours and allows the logo to be stitched onto selected garments. We will run a physical sample of your logo on a material swatch for your approval prior to branding your entire order.
Embroidery is a great option for a wide range of garment options for both small and large orders.
There are no minimums for embroidery.
Embroidery is the most versatile & common option available.
High quality artwork files are required for digitising, the best files are PDF, AI, & EPS.
Artwork files will be digitised to convert them into embroidery format files that our computer software can process.

Why pick embroidery?
Embroidery is the most versatile branding option and can be applied to most garments. The embroidery thread we use is a high quality and will withstand hundreds of washes. We have a large range of thread colours available to select from to give your logo the best finish.
How much does embroidery cost?
The cost of embroidery varies depending on various factors including stitch count, logo size, detail and quantity of garments being embroidered. The larger the volume and lower the stitch count the cheaper the cost of each logo becomes. If you send through your logo we are happy to provide a quote on embroidery. All new logos require a set-up fee which only applies to your first order.
Heat Transfers are printed then weeded and applied to garments with our heat press. Transfers are excellent for multiple colour designs, shading, colour gradient, providing vivid colour and a streamlined finish. Transfers produce excellent results on most fabrics. Transfers generally last approximately 60 washes - for best results wash in cold water, turn inside out, don’t tumble dry, no bleach or oxidising agents and do not iron the logo.
Suitable for logos with lots of colours and detail, can print shading/colour gradient.
Best applications for Digital Transfer:
Clothing, Tee Shirts & Singlets, Hi Vis & Safety Wear, Trucker Caps, Sport Bags, Tote Bags, Fabric Bags, Aprons.
Artwork is vectored which is part of the set up fee. Once the artwork is vectored we provide a proof for approval. After approval the design has cutlines applied and is sent to the printer from our computer. Printer is engaged and design is printed and cut ready for weeding. Weeding is the process of removing the unwanted parts of the transfer design before pressing the design permanently onto garments.
The transfer material we use prevents colour migration and has stretch integrated which helps with garment movement.

Exposure to hot irons can damage the printed transfer.

Screen printing is another great option for branding uniforms. Most garments can be screen printed with some exclusions as items are subjected to heat to cure the paint. Minimum quantities apply for screen printing of 20 items per order, this can be a mix of items.
Screen Print
Bulk Orders / 20+ Garments.
Colour Limits.
Artwork Charges – any artwork that is not supplied in a usable format will need to be re-drawn at a cost of $55.00 per hour.
All garments not supplied by Peninsula Safety must be new and clean.

Vectored artwork is required to provide an artwork proof for approval prior to screen printing. Once artwork is approved films are produced and screens are burnt ready for printing. Ink is squeezed through mesh screens directly onto garments. A separate film and mesh screen is required for each colour in your logo. Multiple colour designs cost more to produce than single colour prints. For every additional colour set-up fees increase.
Screen print is best for larger quantities, print pricing reduces with higher volumes based on quantity breaks and number of colours in the design.
Screen print is more durable than transfers however embroidery lasts the longest if you wash and wear your garments regularly.
Vector format (AI / EPS & PDF files accepted) is required for designs.
Combinations of colours for screen print are restricted normally between 4-6 colours
Screen printing can only be applied to a flat surface to suit the board size.
